BC Games Society staff and select board members spent a day reviewing the Vision, Mission, and Values statements for the organization. With the addition of Team BC to our responsibilities it was timely to ensure that the program was integrated into the key organizational statements and to reflect on the values of the BC Games and Team BC.
The group discussed the wide reach of the organization and the key groups of people who contribute to making the BC Games what they are. A common theme throughout the dialogue was that everyone involved in the BC Games either as a participant, volunteer, partner or fan has a unique and memorable experience. It is our newly defined vision to ensure we create exceptional experiences for all. We can achieve this vision by honouring our mission and ensuring the key values are integrated and guide our actions and decisions.
Kelly Mann, BC Games Society President and CEO said, “Leading by example is important to our organization whether in policy and practice, or who we are as people. Our new Vision, Mission, and Values statements frame our commitment to excellence in all we do.”
The refreshed Vision, Mission, and Values statements were approved by the Board of Directors on October 25.

The BC Games Society is the leadership organization that guides the BC Winter and BC Summer Games and prepares Team BC for national multi-sport Games. We build on the expertise and support of partners to create development opportunities for athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and communities.
