The Lafarge Elementary/Middle School Cross-Country Grand Prix took over Clearbrook Park on Wednesday afternoon.
And though attendance was lower than usual because public schools aren’t in session yet, the Valley Royals-hosted event still generated plenty of enthusiasm. In the photo above, Mekaia Lapa (270) of King Traditional School led the charge at the start of his race. Rachel Mortimer of Chief Dan George Middle School (left photo) won the Grade 8 girls event.
The series continues for the next three Wednesdays, and runners can register on-site.
