The Abbotsford Pilots took their lumps last week against a pair of local rivals.

On Thursday, the junior B hockey club headed down the road to Langley to take on the Knights, a recently relocated franchise which used to be known as the North Delta Devils. The Knights prevailed 4-1 behind a 43-save performance from goalie Nickolas Trenciansky, with Pilots captain Brady Lawlor spoiling his shutout bid at the 17:22 mark of the third period.

On Friday, the Mission City Outlaws skated into MSA Arena and thumped the host Pilots by an 8-1 count. Kyle Lennea scored twice for the Outlaws, while Lawlor, once again, was his team’s lone source of offence.

The Pilots (1-2-1) will look to get back on track this week – they visit the Richmond Sockeyes on Thursday (7 p.m., Richmond Arena) and host the North Vancouver Wolf Pack on Friday (7:30 p.m., MSA Arena).
