The Robert Bateman Timberwolves junior varsity football team shut out the Eric Hamber Griffins 34-0 last Wednesday in exhibition action in Vancouver.
The offence was led by tailback Austen Zacher who rushed for 192 yards and four touchdowns on 13 carries. Sheldon Day scored a major on a 15-yard pass from QB Josh Friskie.
The defence was led by Brad Lewis with three tackles, a fumble recovery and a sack. Zacher also contributed on defence, with four tackles and a sack, while McKenzie Johnson and Nathan Eeg each had three tackles.
The next exhibition game for the JV Wolves is at home on Sept. 12 at 3:30 p.m.
