Grade 8 football team continues hot streak with big win

The winning ways are continuing for the Abbotsford Middle School Huskies.

The Huskies defeated the HD Stafford Skyhawks 47-0 on Tuesday to improve to a perfect three wins and zero losses so far in the Grade 8 football season.

Karl von Einsiedel (two), Kevin Endozo (two), Robert Browning Jr., Ryan Street and Ethan White all scored touchdowns for the Huskies. Street and Carlin Dick were also each successful on two-point converts.

“A very complete team effort on both sides of the ball,” stated the school’s athletic director and team teacher sponsor, Shawn Mani.

The players of the game were William Taggert on defence and Dick on offence. Also contributing on defence was Elijah Radke, who had nine tackles.

The Huskies next take on Heritage Park on Monday at Panther Field.
