The W.A. Fraser Middle School Falcons won their own Grade 8 girls' invitational tournament on the weekend.
This year W.A. Fraser hosted teams from seven different school districts including Chilliwack, Langley, Pitt Meadows, Surrey, New Westminster, North Vancouver and Vernon.
The Vernon Panthers advanced to the championship game to face the host W.A. Fraser Falcons. The Falcons pulled away in the second half to defeat the Panthers 42-18. The player of the game for the tournament final was Falcon Kelsey Roufosse.
Tournament all-stars from the Falcons included Regan Bishop, Cassie Hannon and Jessica Daley. The tournament M.V.P. was W.A. Fraser’s Tana Pankratz.
