Hockey prospect Juulsen to compete at World U17 Challenge

Abbotsford hockey player Noah Juulsen has been named to Team Pacific for the World U17 Hockey Challenge in Nova Scotia next month.

Abbotsford hockey player Noah Juulsen has been named to Team Pacific for the World U17 Hockey Challenge in Nova Scotia next month.

Team Pacific is comprised of the top under-17 players from B.C. and Alberta, and Juulsen, a defenceman, earned a roster spot after a solid start to the season with the Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League. Juulsen has three assists and a +3 rating in 17 games.

The 2014 World U17 Hockey Challenge brings together the top players in the world born 1997 or later, and runs Dec. 31 to Jan. 4 in Cape Breton. Five of the 10 teams in the field are Canadian regional squads, while international entries include the U.S., Sweden, Russia, Germany and the Czech Republic.
