Hockey fans have a chance to celebrate the sport they love in Abbotsford on Saturday.
The annual Hockey Day in Abbotsford event returns to the Envision Credit Union parking lot on 2090 Sumas Way, with activities for the whole family.
A road hockey game featuring players from the Abbotsford Pilots, the chance to meet Pilots mascot Ace and an opportunity to meet the Abbotsford Figure Skating Club are on the docket.
Several prize giveaways are planned including, tickets to a Pilots game and items from some of the many sponsors involved in the event. A barbecue sponsored by Save On Foods is also scheduled. The event is free, with organizers asking attendees to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Abbotsford Food Bank.
