Abbotsford's Adam Hadwin cruised to victory at the Vancouver Open at the Ledgeview Golf and Country Club over the weekend.
Hadwin shot a -7 (207) over the three-day event, which ran from Friday to Sunday. The PGA tour pro shot a 69 on Friday, a 71 on Saturday and closed the event with a 67 on Sunday to clinch the win.
However, day one of the Vancouver Golf Tour event belonged to Jordan Lu from the Marine Drive Golf Club. The 19-year-old shot a sparkling 65 on Friday to lead all golfers. Lu finished tied for 10th overall in the final standings.
Mission's Kevin Stinson had the low score on Saturday, shooting a 68. Both Stinson and UFV Cascades golfer Connor O'Dell had one-shot leads on Hadwin heading into Sunday.
Stinson, who plays out of Hazelmere Golf and Country, shot a -5 (209) at the event to finish tied for second overall with Riley Wheeldon. O'Dell shot a 76 on Sunday to fall to tied for seventh at the event. He shot a +1 (215) for the tournament.
Hadwin earned $6,500 for the win.
