Abbotsford golfer Adam Hadwin turned in a terrific performance on the Web.com Tour on the weekend, finishing tied for third at the Cox Classic in Omaha, Nebraska.

Hadwin, coming off a missed cut at the RBC Canadian Open the previous week, was steady throughout, carding rounds of 68, 67, 63 and 66 to end up at 20 under par. That left him four strokes back of winner Ben Kohles, who shot a sparkling final-round 62.

Hadwin collected a season-high payday of $31,200, which boosted him from 62nd to 38th on the all-important Web.com Tour order of merit. The top 25 on the list at year's end earn PGA Tour cards for next season, and Hadwin is closing in on that standard. His next chance to make up ground is the Price Cutter Charity Championship in Springfield, Missouri this weekend.
