Add one more honour for Abbotsford’s Adam Hadwin.

The pro golfer, coming off an outstanding 2017 season, was named as one of three finalists for the SportBC male senior athlete of the year award.

Hadwin’s competitors in the category are swimmer Yuri Kisil and high jumper Michael Mason.

The 52nd annual event is set for March 28 in Vancouver.

Hadwin’s spectacular season on the links began when he joined the elite “59 club” at the CareerBuilder Challenge on Jan. 21.

He scored his first-ever PGA Tour win at the Valspar Championship on March 11, and that win qualified him for the Masters in April.

He followed that up with a sixth-place showing at the Arnold Palmer Invitational on March 19.

Hadwin ended up 36th overall at the Masters, competed at the U.S. Open in June and also was named to the International team at the President’s Cup in September.
