Gold medal match-ups set for Abbotsford city basketball tournament

The local hoops extravaganza, which features 54 school teams and more than 750 athletes in six divisions (Grade 8, junior and senior boys and girls), culminates with six gold medal games played back-to-back at Columbia Bible College. Yale teams made it to the final in all four divisions the East Abbotsford school is represented in – junior boys and girls, and senior boys and girls.

Grade 8 girls: W.A. Fraser Falcons vs. Colleen and Gordie Howe Bulldogs, 11 a.m.

Grade 8 boys: W.A. Fraser Falcons vs. Chief Dan George Wolves, 12:30 p.m.

Jr. girls: Yale Lions vs. MEI Eagles, 2 p.m.

Jr. boys: Yale Lions vs. MEI Eagles, 3:30 p.m.

Sr. girls: Yale Lions vs. W.J. Mouat Hawks, 5:15 p.m.

Sr. boys: Yale Lions vs. W.J. Mouat Hawks, 7 p.m.
