The Abbotsford Heat and Calgary Flames exchanged goalies on Sunday.

The Abbotsford Heat and Calgary Flames exchanged goalies on Sunday, as Henrik Karlsson was recalled by the NHL parent club and Leland Irving was sent down.

Karlsson, the Flames' usual backup, had spent the last two weeks with the Heat on a conditioning stint. He was coming back from a sprained knee ligament suffered in early December. The 28-year-old Swede had a two wins in four games with the Heat, posting a 2.26 goals-against average with a .903 save percentage.

Irving had been filling in for Karlsson in Calgary. He's posted a 1-1-3 record with a 3.26 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage over the course of two stints with the Flames this season.
