Vancouver forwards selected as part of Team WHL for two-game series against Team Russia

Two members of the Vancouver Giants have been named to Team WHL for the upcoming CIBC Canada Russia Series.

Forwards Tyler Benson and Ty Ronning will play alongside other top players from around the WHL against Team Russia on Nov. 7 in Prince George and in Edmonton on Nov. 8.

Benson, the Giants captain, has five goals and five assists in eight games while Ronning has four goals and six assists. Both players were selected in June’s NHL entry draft with Benson going to the Edmonton Oilers in the second round while Ronning went in round seven to the New York Rangers.
