The Abbotsford Heat have gotten Greg Nemisz back from the Calgary Flames in advance of a pivotal weekend set against the San Antonio Rampage.

Nemisz, a sophomore forward, was on emergency recall with the Flames. With Calgary winger Tim Jackman poised to return from an upper-body injury, Nemisz was sent back to Abbotsford.

The Courtice, Ont. native has 25 points (12 goals, 13 assists) in 41 games with the Heat this season. In nine games with the Flames, Nemisz has gone pointless, with a +1 rating.

The Heat also added David Eddy on Tuesday. The 22-year-old forward out of St. Cloud University signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Flames which takes effect next season. In the meantime, he's inked an amateur tryout (ATO) deal with Abbotsford.

Eddy posted 25 points (nine goals, 16 assists) in 39 games with St. Cloud this season.

To make room for Nemisz and Eddy, the Heat assigned Gaelan Patterson to the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL. The second-year pro has one goal and five assists in 56 games with Abbotsford this season.

• The Heat are at home this weekend to face San Antonio on Saturday (7 p.m.) and Sunday (1 p.m.).
