Abbotsford dropped both games in their best-of-three series against North Shore Twins.

The Abbotsford Cardinals‘ post-season run came to an abrupt halt on Saturday.

Facing the regular season champions North Shore Twins in the opening round of the B.C. Premier Baseball League in a best-of-three series, Abbotsford were unable to score, losing 7-0 and 5-0 in games one and two.

In the opener, the Cardinals managed two hits through seven innings.

Carter Loewen pitched through six, allowing seven runs on 11 hits with three strikeouts on the day.

In game two, Abbotsford fared no better.

Twins pitcher Braeden Toikka threw a near perfect game through seven innings, allowing no hits while walking three batters.
