Falcons cruise to another four-win weekend

The Abbotsford Falcons community football squads continued to roll last weekend, winning all four games by a combined score of 104-6.

The Abbotsford Falcons community football squads continued to roll last weekend, winning all four games in dominant fashion by a combined score of 104-6.

The Falcons atom squad blitzed Meadow Ridge Blue 26-0 behind a big game from Ercy Avril, who had two touchdowns and a convert. Tyson Kelly and Taejshon Catlin sparked a ferocious defence which only surrendered one first down all game.

The Abby peewees beat Chilliwack Blue 20-6, with Jalem Catlin (2) and Haiydn B. finding the end zone and solid defensive performances from Tayton Gienger, Blake Neufeld and Carter Squire.

Both Falcons junior bantam teams were victorious via shutouts. The JB White squad blanked the Mission 9’ers 22-0, with Zach Langfield and Dion Kelly scoring majors and Luke Szmutko excelling in his debut at quarterback.

The JB Black team rolled past Chilliwack 36-0 behind TDs from Samwel Uko (2), Dylan Roach, Tyson Reid and Jordan Townrow. Roach and Blake Gervais both notched interceptions.
