Eagles spikers host home tourney this weekend

The Mennonite Educational Institute senior boys volleyball squad welcomes an elite field of teams from across B.C. for its home tournament this weekend.

The Eagles, No. 1 in the provincial AA rankings, open the tourney at 1:30 p.m. at MEI Secondary against arch-rival Langley Fundamental. Their other pool-play games are all at MEI Middle, vs. Princess Margaret (3:30 p.m.), Mount Boucherie (6:30 p.m.) and Fraser Heights (7:30 p.m.).

The playoff rounds begin at noon on Saturday, with the semifinals set for 2 p.m. and the finals going at 3 p.m. at MEI Middle.
