The Louisville Cardinals overwhelmed the University of the Fraser Valley women's basketball team on Sunday evening, winning 118-57 in exhibition action at the Envision Athletic Centre.
The Cascades jumped out to an early 6-1 lead over their NCAA Div. 1 guests, but the Cardinals rallied to level the score 14-14. It was all Louisville from there – they went on a 21-0 run bridging the first and second quarters, and built a 90-39 advantage heading into the fourth.
Nicole Wierks paced the Cascades with 19 points, while Tessa Klassen notched 10 points and five assists.
The Cardinals went undefeated on their three-game Canadian tour, also beating Trinity Western (112-43) and UBC (110-43).
