Boxing returns to Abbotsford on Saturday night

Tournament of Champions event features boxers from all over the province

For the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic, boxing is back in Abbotsford.

The Tournament of Champions event goes down on Saturday (Nov. 6) at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Centre (36035 North Parallel Road).

The show begins at 7 p.m. and features 15 scheduled bouts.

Abbotsford’s Oliver Kladnik takes on North Vancouver’s Jonathon Hannah in the main event. Hannah is a former provincial gold medalist, a national bronze medalist and earned bronze in boxing at the Canada Winter Games 2019.

Other bouts announced include: Abbotsford’s Saul Aspinall vs. Burnaby’s Marcu Tallarico and Mission’s Derek Lund vs. Victoria’s Jospeh Daily.

Other local boxers on the card include: Matthew Smith, Richard Miller and Mehar Sandhu.
