Abbotsford rugby players Jorden Best and Spencer Miller led the B.C. elite youth sevens side to the championship at the prestigious Hong Kong International Sevens tournament last week.

Best, a senior at Robert Bateman Secondary, and Miller, a Yale Secondary student, helped the provincial team capture their second international championship of the 2012 season.

Team B.C. scored 22 tries in four matches and held each of their opponents scoreless. Opposition in the eight-team field included sides from Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand.

In round robin play, B.C. racked up lopsided wins over the Dea Tigers-II (63-0), the Flying Kukris (40-0), and the Bangkok Lions (28-0).

The Cup final was a much closer affair, with the provincial squad downing the Dea Tigers-I 21-0.
