Columbia Bible College Bearcats athletics biggest fundraiser of the year occurs on April 16 at the second annual Bearcat Prowl.

The Bearcat Prowl is back.

After a successful inaugural year in 2015, Columbia Bible College is again inviting the community to the glow in the dark evening run for fun.

The five-kilometre run at Rotary Stadium in central Abbotsford is open to participants of all ages and all skill levels, with all proceeds from the event going to support the CBC Bearcats athletics program.

Last year’s run saw 142 people hit the track, raising approximately $6,500 for the school’s athletic program.

This year’s event occurs on April 16, with gates open and check-in starting at 7:45 p.m.

Event organizers welcome all runners to share stories at 8:15 p.m., with the fun run kicking off at 8:30 p.m.

Registration costs $25 for adults, $20 for students aged 13 and up, and free for kids 12 and under.

Every racer receives a Bearcats T-shirt, two glow bracelets and a necklace in their race package.

Racers are asked to pick up their race package on April 15 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., or on April 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at theAbbotsford Running Room on Sumas Way.

Those interested must register by Thursday. Registration for the event is all done online, through the Running Room’s website.
