The Robert Bateman Timberwolves senior girls basketball team are the Victoria City Police Basketball Tournament champions.
Bateman picked up the win by defeating Claremont 71-61 on Saturday, to cap off an undefeated run at the event for the team.
The Wolves also picked up wins over Lambrick (77-42) on Thursday and Fort Richmond (83-51) on Friday.
Bateman’s Jayden Gill, who scored 22 points in the championship game, was named the tournament’s most valuable player, while Kayla Wilford was named to the event’s all-star team. Wolves guard Amira Jensen also showed off her skills from beyond the arc by winning the tournament’s three-point contest on Friday.
