The Abbotsford Olympians Swim Club competed at the second L/A OSC novice meet of the season earlier this month, competing against the Langley Olympians Swim Club and the Hyack Swim Club.
AOSC was represented by eight swimmers: Alex Leonard, Erik Rexha, Makenzie Uri, Nevaeh Thomson, Marley Arde, Asiah Demsky, Kennedy Rauh and Alexander Delaney.
Meet highlights included: Erik Rexha taking 28 seconds off his personal best in the 100-metre freestyle; Makenzie Uri swimming her first 100-metre freestyle, which included a proper dive and flip turns, earning her a time of 2:30.45. Alex Leonard swimming his first 50-metre backstroke (with a flip turn) earning him the time of 1:15.17.
Asiah Demsky broke 2:00 for the first time in her 100-metre individual medley.
And Alexander Delaney took six seconds off his PB in the 50-metre freestyle to finish at 33.43.
