Abbotsford's Noah Juulsen and the Team Canada world junior hockey team finished with silver after losing to the United States on Thursday evening.

After seeing leads of 2-0 and 4-2 evaporate, it was the shootout that finally did in Abbotsford's Noah Juulsen and the Team Canada world junior hockey squad in Montreal on Thursday.

American forward Troy Terry was the lone player to score in the shootout to give the United States the 5-4 win.

Canada had a 2-0 lead after one, but the U.S. battled back to even the game up at two after two. The Canadians jumped out to a 4-2 lead in the third period, but couldn't hang on and the U.S. tied the game up at four.

A 20-minute overtime period solved nothing, and the game was decided in the shootout.

Juulsen recorded two assists during tournament play, and is scheduled to return to his regular team, the Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League, in the coming days.
