The Junior Cascades Boys Volleyball Club recently concluded a successful season with the 15U, 16U and 17U teams all finishing top five in the country.

The 17U squad had the best showing, advancing to the Volleyball Canada final in the National Division 1 Tier 1 group and earned a silver medal after losing to Junior Bisons in the final.

Cascades players Hudson Brandsma and Jared Sikma were both named tournament all-stars. The team qualified for nationals after winning the Volleyball BC provincials back in April.

Both the 15U and 16U squads placed fifth in their respective Tier 1 Division national tournaments, which occurred last month in Alberta.

The Junior Cascades Boys Volleyball Club will next have a number of camps later this summer. Camps for ages 12 to 14 and ages 15 to 16 will run from July 24 to 28 at the UFV Athletic Centre. The younger group runs from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., while the older group occurs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The club will then host prep camps for ages 12 to 13, 14 to 15 and 16 to 18 from Aug. 28 to Sept. 1 at UFV.
