Abbotsford’s Dylan Manocha is joining the Bishop’s University Gaiters football team.
The 2017 W.J. Mouat Secondary grad announced that on social media on Feb. 14 that he has committed to the Sherbrooke, Que.-based program.

“After an amazing visit, and chat with @GaitersHC I am happy to announce my commitment to Bishop’s University,” he posted on Twitter. “Thank you to all my coaches and teammates who have helped me to get to this point.”
Manocha has had a long journey to get to university football, suiting up for both the Langley Rams and Valley Huskers of the British Columbia Football Conference from 2017 to 2019, before taking a year off in 2020 due to the pandemic.
He rejoined the Huskers in 2021 and played his final eligible season with the Chilliwack-based club in 2022.
Manocha put up strong numbers as a wide receiver with the Huskers in 2022. He collected 448 yard receiving and caught four touchdowns in nine regular season games. He was also named a BCFC all-star. Manocha also averaged 22.5 yard per per return as kick-off returner and 11.1 yards as a punt returner. He was named the BCFC special teams player of the week for week one in 2022.

His 2021 season was also solid, with 361 yards receiving and one touchdown in eight games.
The Huskers finished the 2022 season in third place with a record of 7-3.
Manocha starred for years on the gridiron with both the Mouat Hawks and Eugene Reimer Ravens.

The Gaiters play in the Atlantic University Sport conference and finished 2022 with a record of 4-3. Bishop’s then lost 15-12 to Mount Allison in the AUS semifinal game on Nov. 5, 2022.
Manocha will join the team later this year, with the AUS season typically starting in late-August or early-September.
