Abbotsford wrestler Jasmit Singh Phulka’s Holiday Toy Drive is back for 2021.

The Olympic hopeful helped raised over $13,000 in cash and toy donations in 2020 and is hoping to once again raise at least $10,000.

“I will be partnering with the BC Children’s Hospital again this year but will also be adding the Abbotsford Canuck Place Children’s Hospice,” he stated on the fundraiser page. “The drive will focus on toddlers aged two to four. I am very thankful for all the support and donations last year and I am hoping we can crush last year’s numbers together.”

Phulka is partnering with local realtor Gurbaj Gill for 2021 and the toy drop-off location is Gill’s office located at 2790 Allwood Street in Abbotsford.

They are looking for new toys only and some of the possible items include: puzzle, plastic animals, toy cars, toy trains or train tracks, baby dolls, play-doh and more. Cash donations will also be accepted.

The fundraiser was launched on Dec. 6 and has raised $3,125 so far. The drive continues until Dec. 19.
