Abbotsford speed skater Alex Chizawsky has qualified for the Canada Winter Games.
A Grade 12 student at Yale secondary, Chizawsky has been speed skating since he was 8. Recently he competed in the BC Winter Games, bringing home five medals He trains with the Matsqui Blades speed skating club three times a week at the Abbotsford Recreation centre.
The Canada Winter Games take place in Prince George, B.C. from Feb. 13 to March 1.
