Abbotsford skippers sensational at nationals

The Abbotsford Skipping Sensations turned in standout performances at the Canadian rope skipping championships in St. Catharines, Ont.

The Abbotsford Skipping Sensations were outstanding at the Canadian rope skipping championships in St. Catharines, Ont. last month.

The local club’s age 10-11 and 12-14 girls teams took first place overall in their respective categories, while the 15-17 squad finished second.

Additionally, seven Skipping Sensations athletes registered top-five overall finishes. Ellory Smith (age 10-11) and Kaeli Wiens (12-14) earned silver medals, while Libby Baird (10-11) picked up a bronze. Fourth-place finishes went to Kayla Wilford (12-14) and Alexa Lagunes (15-17), while Reagan Symonds (10-11) and Sadie Baird (12-14) were fifth.
