The Abbotsford Pilots acquired two players from the Mission City Outlaws in a trade earlier this month.

Two key pieces of the Mission City Outlaws title run are set to cross the Fraser River and wear Abbotsford Pilots colours for the 2016-17 Pacific Junior Hockey League season.

The Pilots acquired forwards Noah Wiebe and Kolby Steen from the Outlaws in exchange for defenceman Arshdeep Shergill earlier this month.

Steen was fifth on team scoring for the Outlaws, picking up 40 points in 39 games. The Abbotsford native also racked up a team-high 115 penalty minutes last season.

Wiebe scored 22 points in 43 games in his rookie PJHL season in Mission. He also compiled 103 penalty minutes last season.

Steen was big in the playoffs for the Outlaws, leading the team and the PJHL with 23 points in 16 games.

Shergill played 15 games in total split between the Outlaws and the Pilots last season, picking up four points.

The Pilots next host their 2016 Evaluation Camps from June 3 to 5 at the MSA Arena. The camps are open to players born from 1996 to 2001.
