Junior football team defeats Cloverdale 30-14, Falcons pee wee fall in provincial title game

The Abbotsford Falcons junior bantam black team has captured a provincial title.

The Falcons earned British Columbia Community Football Association gold with a 30-14 win over the Cloverdale Cougars at Langley’s McLeod Stadium on Sunday (Dec. 5).

Falcons player Santiago Llarens was named the game’s most valuable player.

The championship win wraps up an impressive season for the team, as they finished with a record of 7-0-1 in Valley Community Football League regular season play. They outscored the opposition 262-14 in those eight games.

Meanwhile, the Abbotsford Falcons pee wee squad fell 44-0 to the Cloverdale Bobcats in the provincial final on Saturday (Dec. 4) in Langley.

Abbotsford’s Marcus Ram-Myers earned the team’s most valuable player for the game. The silver medal caps off an excellent season for the pee wee’s, as they finished with a perfect 8-0 in VCFL regular season play. The Falcons outscored the opposition 316-14 in those eight games.
