The Abbotsford Falcons U10 Black celebrate a provincial silver medal last weekend. The roster consisted of: Coach Derek Black, Coach Neil Whitley, Amira Dawit, Boston Unger, Dane Doucette, Dhruv Kumar, Ethan Whiteley, Isaiah Black, Levi VanMaren, Nicholas Piche Bosco, Owen Macdonald and Zachery Marcynuik.

The Abbotsford Falcons U10 Black flag football team fought strong, but came up a little short at the British Columbia Flag Football Provincial Championships in Kelowna over the weekend.

The Falcons fell 8-6 in the provincial title game to cap off a strong season for the squad.

The U10’s finished in third place during the regular season, posting a record of 17-6-2.

“This was an amazing showing for a team with some brand new football players,” stated Bob Dawit, vice-president of the Falcons. “Thanks to the great leadership by coaches Derek Black and Neil Whitley who moulded this group of youngsters into a force to be reckoned with.”

The Abbotsford Falcons U12 Black team finished sixth at provincials, and will now head to nationals later this year. They finished the regular season in second place with a record of 19-4.

Also competing at the provincials was the Abbotsford Falcons U14 Red team, who placed ninth overall in Kelowna. The U14’s completed the regular season with a strong record of 7-2.
