Trees chopped

There doesn’t appear to be much concern for trees at the Hazelwood Cemetery.

There doesn’t appear to be much concern for trees at the Hazelwood Cemetery. Since last winter, we have watched several very large trees, along with large flowering shrubs, being removed.

The very tall conifers that were cut down last winter apparently were in the way of the next phase of developing the cemetery. The lovely shrubs beneath them were bulldozed without even an effort of relocating them being made.

A couple days ago, we noticed that several more trees near the building were cut down. I suppose that trees which appear to have been planted at least 40 years ago have no historical (or environmental) relevance, unlike those on rural private property.
