Treated like kids

When I watched the leaders’ debate, I was very disappointed that they were trying so hard to win votes that they didn’t address the most important problems Canada is facing.

When I watched the leaders’ debate, I was very disappointed that they were trying so hard to win votes that they didn’t address the most important problems Canada is facing.

It seemed to me that they treated the voters like a bunch of small children, waiting to see how many more goodies they were offering than the other guy.

We have just weathered a deep recession, and the government had to bail out the automobile manufacturers to keep people working. They had to borrow money for infrastructure to create jobs.

We have kept our banks afloat. In short, we have done better than most countries in the world.

We need intelligent leaders who will try to get our debts paid, so our children and grandchildren are not burdened forever.

Let’s teach our children to become responsible, self-respecting, confident members of society, instead of children who are always looking for something for nothing, always expecting somebody else to do the work, and getting paid for doing the least work they can get away with.
