Teens show they care

Approximately two weeks ago there was a small accident in front of our house.

Approximately two weeks ago there was a small accident in front of our house.

A woman was attempting to avoid young people at the side of the road and swerved into the side of an oncoming vehicle. These young people were riding their bikes and skateboards at the side of the road.  There were no injuries sustained thankfully but it took about an hour to sort out the details and wait for the tow-truck.

In this day and age, we often encounter rudeness and disrespect when dealing with teenagers.  They are often given a bad rap. However, in my experience, I have met many wonderful teens and saw this again the day of the accident.

These kids could have left, but they did not. They stayed right until the end of the cleanup. One young lad was directing traffic in a very narrow lane, while another boy stayed in the car with the woman until we could extricate her from her car.

I was extremely impressed with their friendliness and help.  Thanks to Lucas Klassen, Brendan Rourke, Joel Balzer, Raina Cameron and Aaron Kornelson for being so caring and compassionate.   Well done!
