Whether we agree with the $64,000 expenditure for the sculpture for the McCallum interchange is a matter of personal opinion for each of us to consider.
Why the mayor’s comment relative to the interchange being $5,000,000 under budget is part of this article is a mystery to me unless (which of course is not the case) the cost of the sculpture is to be covered within the interchange budget.
The fact remains Mr. Mayor, we the taxpayers (not anyone else) are paying for the sculpture, and your perceived reference this expense is small in relation to the overall cost of the interchange could be considered as somewhat misleading.
