Public should decide slots

Here’s a note to the five on council who voted against the opportunity to have the application for additional slots go to public hearings.

It’s time you put away your personal so-called moral beliefs and let the voters of Abbotsford make some decisions.

The addition of more slot machines would not only continue to bring in needed funds for charitable and sporting groups in the community, it would also add to the city’s general funds and save tax dollars for the citizens.

With support coming in from out-of-town people willing to put their money into our slot machines, would it not be better to have more slots available than to have people go to Langley to add revenue  there?

At least give us the chance to make our voices heard on matters such as this.
