Painful scooter ride

Why do some of us refuse to ride our wheelchairs or scooters on our city’s sidewalks?

Which part of P-A-I-N do people not get?

Why do some of us refuse to ride our wheelchairs or scooters on our city’s sidewalks?

It’s that bone-jarring jolt throughout our entire bodies every time our tires cross a crack in any sidewalk. But it’s the newest sidewalks that hurt us the worst. I am now a senior but I have already worn out three electric wheelchairs and two electric scooters since 1984.

Want to know how I discourage drivers from targeting me in a crosswalk? I also use two very sturdy wooden canes that can deliver quite a dent.
