I voted for John van Dongen and supported him in the last four elections.
It was a shock and very disappointing to learn that he had crossed the floor last Monday and decided to join a fringe party for whom I never voted.
I made it plain to Mr. van Dongen, months ago, that if he ran as a BC Conservative, I would not vote for him. That still stands.
A vote for the BC Conservative party is like a vote for the NDP.
John van Dongen pretty well had a guaranteed seat in the legislature as a B.C. Liberal. He will have to fight for it now.
I think he owes an apology to his many faithful constituents for his action.
