As a resident of Abbotsford, it has come to my attention that city council approved the raising of the Fraser Valley Pride Flag at city hall for the week of July 13-20.
Though an LGBTQ lifestyle is legal, this does not mean that it should be supported by the City of Abbotsford. Why should the LGBTQ community get special treatment? As residents, it is time to speak up now and let our leaders know that this is not acceptable in our community.
When leaders direct us down a path which we know is not right, we have the duty to speak up and to defend the truth that a traditional marriage is the very foundation of every healthy society.
