Re: Test transit with buses first, Nov. 14 edition.

I would partially agree with this letter but I somehow don’t think the letter writer knows much of what is happening on both Chilliwack and Abbotsford UFV campuses.

There has been a shuttle in operation between the two campuses since September and recently a referendum was held to raise the fee. It passed and effective Nov. 18, a new and expanded shuttle bus schedule took effect. We now have adequate service between the two, and while it would be nice to see a connection between Aldergrove through to Chilliwack, at least our student union has us in mind in getting this awesome service off the ground.

It will now cost us about $17 a semester from the original $6.75 at start of the school year. This is a great price, and it gives some of us the chance to take other courses that may be held at the other campus. For example, in the winter semester, I will be able to take four classes, of which two will be at the Chilliwack campus. This will make it easier to finish my program.

Students like the service we are provided with, but it would still be nice to have the other Valley Connector in place, too.
