LETTER: Thanks for help after scooter crash

Curbs difficult for three-wheel mobility scooters to navigate

My name is Rhonda Caminiti and I had an accident on my mobility scooter on June 22, 2014 on the corner of South Fraser Way and Bourquin.

I would like to thank the lady who called 911 and the other gentleman who stopped to help me. I would also like to say thank you to the Abbotsford Fire Department as well as the police. And a special thank you to the ambulance service who provided me with expert care. Luckily nothing serious was wrong only deep bruising.

My accident occurred partly my fault but also some of the curbs are in rough shape for my three-wheeler to manage. I've been driving one for fifteen years and never had an accident until last year and this year due to bad curbing. I hope this does not happen to anyone else. Thanks again to everyone who was there for me.
