In a recent CounterAttack program, for the first time in APD history, police did not find drunk drivers, but did find marijuana-impaired drivers.
Since marijuana is harder to detect, I would presume there were many drivers who slipped through the cracks.
The pro-marijuana lobby tout this dangerous, possibly addictive drug as a benign, almost health-enhancing product. I have heard some comment, “driving after using the product makes you a better driver.”
With the move to possibly legalize marijuana, what is it telling our youth? It’s a legal product, so it must be OK. Parents and other adults, please set an example for our youth. What does Health Canada say?
