Responding to the recent letter about bringing lacrosse to the sports centre, I feel it would not matter one bit what was brought there – it would be a money-losing event.
We already have lacrosse just down the road in Langley and from what I see they are not getting the crowds they expected. There is also WLA lacrosse in Burnaby, Langley and Maple Ridge, and I have been to those games and they do not draw crowds. A few years ago, Langley held the Canadian championship for lacrosse and nobody attended.
It won’t matter what you bring into the Abbotsford sports centre. It just won’t work.
We are stuck with that money-bleeding building forever.
