LETTER: Compliments are better than complaints

Many people appreciate hard work and dedication, they just don't say it.

Too often all we read are complaints.

I think that often people are so busy with life that they don't give compliments when they are due.  A compliment is certainly due to Mort, who works in the Thrifty Food Plaza.

He is the fellow who keeps the parking lot and surrounding area pristine.

This has to be the cleanest and tidiest mall I have ever seen.  There is not a cigarette butt or old piece of gum to be found anywhere.

So thank you Mort.  I appreciate all your hard work and I'm sure many other people do too.  They just don't say it.  But we sure see it.
