LETTER: BCTF behaviour is sickening

Kudos to Premier Christy Clark for having the nerve to stick up for the tax-paying public

The behaviour of the BC teachers' union is sickening indeed.

First they waist two month of summer holidays in which they should have been negotiating.

Then they have the audacity to use the students as pawns to domineer outrageous wage demands twice

the amount other unions have settled for.

The taxpaying pockets are not bottomless pits. After all, they foot the bill.

If teachers do need wages like brain surgeons, they should get training to be one.

Solution? Get rid of the present union negotiators. Rather then wasting valuable time get yourselves

individuals who truly care about the kids and all.

I have sat in on union negotiations where sensible reasoning accomplished  fair deals for all sides.

How come this cannot be accomplished here?

I say, kudos to Premier Christy Clark for having the nerve to stick up for the tax-paying public. A

pleasant note indeed.
