Like every other citizen of Abbotsford, I have been frustrated by the financial issues of the Abbotsford Sports and Entertainment Centre, but I have not let it stop me from enjoying the facility.
In the past year, our family has enjoyed everything from Cirque de Soleil, Lord of the Dance, Maroon 5, Train, The Trans Siberian Orchestra and a handful of Heat hockey games. Every event was first class, and were events that would have required a trip to Vancouver three years ago.
My daughter also spent two years working at the entertainment center in food services. It was a great way for to her get work experience and a job in Abbotsford.
I encourage everyone to enjoy some of the great entertainment that is coming directly to us. Not only do we get to see great productions and sports, we also keep our dollars and jobs in our community.
