Councillors are offering a service for the city

What’s wrong with “retired school teachers, university professors and pubic service employees” running for council?

Re:  “Thinking needs to change” (Neal Diamond, Nov. 22).

What’s wrong with “retired school teachers, university professors and pubic service employees” running for council?  They are people who have served Abbotsford, know the system and, whether they’re right or not, have a vision for the city.

And I notice you said nothing about Henry Braun, coming in an impressive second after long-time champion of Abbotsford, Patricia Ross. Mr. Braun has been active in the community for many years, quietly supporting Abbotsford in different ways.

His business acumen will be an enormous asset amongst the “teachers and professors.” Experience and knowledge is an excellent combination for a city that’s growing bigger all the time.

Next election, will we see your name on the ballot? Or just another letter of complaint?
