I am concerned and appalled by the decision to allow an incinerator to be set up in the Fraser Valley.
Is the minister of the environment so lacking in knowledge of his portfolio that he is unaware of the very real fragility of our airshed, or does he not care?
Is the premier unconcerned and indifferent to our concerns?
Mayor Peary is doing a bit of fence-sitting in this matter, and does not appear to want to rock the boat and wants the dialogue to “remain civil.”
SE2 is not beyond memory, as is evidenced by Councillor Ross’s remarks, and there are many residents of the Fraser Valley who were at the time, and still are worried about any threat to the air we breathe.
